Peg's Painted Path
Custom Paintings
Morris says she can paint basically anything handed to her in the form of a photograph.
Often, her paintings depict nature scenes that are viewed out a window. Beach and garden scenes have been some past landscapes. Morris said "I like my paintings to be pleasing yet curious, lighthearted humor goes a long way to promote balance and health in our busy lives." Delicate fairies and mystical angels usually appear in her paintings. She says "it's to remind us that we live in a world of our own making and we are influenced by things that are invisible to the eye. It is essential that we look with our hearts in order to see the majesty and elegance of the world and people around us. Morris has learned the art of painting faux finishes and uses this skill to simulate wood grain, stone or marble textures. Many times, she paints a faux wood grain around her painting to represent a frame.
